1. Introduction
Welcome to The Institute of Nautical Sciences (IONS). By accessing our website, enrolling in our courses, or availing any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
Enrollment is open to individuals who meet the academic and medical criteria specified for each course. IONS reserves the right to deny admission or revoke enrollment if the information provided is found to be false.
3. Course Details
IONS provides detailed course information including duration, syllabus, fees, and eligibility criteria. It is the student’s responsibility to review this information before enrolling.
4. Code of Conduct
All students must adhere to IONS’ Code of Conduct, including maintaining discipline, respecting faculty and peers, and complying with all academic policies.
5. Attendance & Performance
Regular attendance and satisfactory academic performance are mandatory for the successful completion of any course. Failure to meet these requirements may result in termination from the program.
6. Intellectual Property
All study materials, content, and intellectual property shared during the course remain the property of IONS. Reproduction, distribution, or use for commercial purposes without written consent is strictly prohibited.
7. Privacy Policy
IONS is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal data collected during admission or through our website will be used solely for institutional purposes and not shared without consent, except as required by law.
8. Amendments
IONS reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of those changes.


Refund & Return Policy

1. Fee Refund Eligibility
Refund of fees is subject to the conditions below and will be processed only on valid and documented grounds:

  • Before course commencement: A full or partial refund may be issued, less administrative or processing charges.

  • After course commencement: No refund will be entertained unless under exceptional circumstances such as serious medical conditions (with proper documentation) or course cancellation by IONS.

2. Non-Refundable Components
The following fees are strictly non-refundable:

  • Application and registration fees

  • Admission fees

  • Any fees paid toward third-party certification or exams

3. Refund Procedure

  • All refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to the Admissions Office.

  • Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 15-30 business days to the original payment method.



Cancellation Policy

1. Course Cancellation by Student
Students who wish to cancel their enrollment must submit a written request to the Admissions Office. The effective date of cancellation is the date the request is received.

  • Before course commencement: Cancellations received more than 7 days before the start of the course may be eligible for a refund as per the refund policy.

  • After course commencement: Cancellations after the start of the course are not eligible for a refund.

2. Course Cancellation by IONS
IONS reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to insufficient enrollment, faculty unavailability, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • In such cases, enrolled students will be offered:

    • A full refund, or

    • The option to transfer their enrollment to a future batch or another course

3. Transfer of Enrollment
Students may request to transfer their enrollment to a different batch or course before commencement, subject to seat availability and approval from the administration.
